Outdoor Events at The WSC
What outdoor space do you have?
Large outdoor grounds in a parkland setting with woodland views, with room for marquees, summer parties and outdoor celebrations. How many guests the grounds can take depends on how the marquee is set up, so tell us your numbers and we’ll talk it through.
Indoors, the Function Room takes up to 160 guests and has floor-to-ceiling windows along two walls looking out over woodland. The Lounge takes up to 150 with full bar service.
Can I hire the marquee space on its own?
Yes. The marquee space can be hired on its own or alongside one of our indoor rooms. Booking a room as well gives you a dance floor, a raised stage and the bar under one roof, and somewhere for guests to head inside.
Ask us about the marquee itself when you enquire and we’ll explain how outdoor events here are set up.
What kinds of outdoor events do you host?
Summer parties, marquee wedding receptions, open-air drinks receptions, family celebrations and company summer team days. Couples can use the grounds for drinks or garden games between the formalities, then move inside for the meal and the dancing.
We host wedding receptions, not ceremonies. See our wedding receptions and party venue hire pages for more.
What food and drink can you provide?
We offer hot and cold buffets, sit-down meals and bespoke menus, with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary options on request. Outside food may be allowed for some events, so ask us when you enquire.
There is a fully licensed bar on site. Bringing your own alcohol isn’t permitted under our licensing regulations.
Where is the venue, and is there parking?
We’re at Warrington Sports Club, Walton Lea Road, Walton, Warrington WA4 6SJ, in parkland just outside Stockton Heath, with good links to the M6, M56 and M62.
There is ample free parking on site for you and your guests. The venue has step-free access and accessible facilities; if a guest has specific needs, let us know in advance.
How much does outdoor or marquee hire cost?
It depends on what you book (the marquee space alone, or with the Function Room or Lounge) and on the date. Send us your preferred date and guest numbers and we’ll come back with prices and availability. A deposit confirms your booking.
The easiest way to start is a visit: call us on 01925 263210 or send an enquiry and we’ll arrange a time to show you around.
